Polar Prawns AS is dedicated to sustainable practices that protect our environment and ensure the long-term viability of our operations. Our facility is powered by a combination of renewable energy sources, including solar panels, “waste” heat from the neighboring biogas plant.

by the nearby biogas facility, which will be partly powered by the sludge
from the prawn farming process. Nice circularity!.

We utilize advanced filtration and desalination processes to ensure an unlimited supply of clean water. Our Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) is designed to recycle and reuse water efficiently, reducing waste and preserving this critical resource. This system allows us to maintain optimal water quality and supports the health and growth of our prawns without relying on antibiotics or chemicals.

Minimizing Carbon Footprint

Our strategic use of renewable energy and resource-efficient practices significantly lowers our carbon emissions.
